A major manhunt is underway in New South Wales for a suspected gunman who is believed to be on the run after two officers were injured during a police chase in Victoria.
Stanley Turvey is alleged to have fired a gun as police attempted to arrest him at a property in Katandra West, northern Victoria, at midday on Monday.
He then allegedly led police on a chase before officers “lost control” of their car, causing the vehicle to roll over and two officers sustaining minor injuries.
Police continued their manhunt on Tuesday and released a photo of Turvey showing the fugitive with a distinctive grenade tattoo on his face.
The photo comes as a series of disturbing social media posts emerge, including a video of Turvey holding a dog’s leash tied to a collar around a man’s neck.

Residents were warned not to approach him as police believed Turvey might be armed.
Police allege Turvey approached detectives with a gun on Monday when they arrived at the property in Katandra West, near Shepparton in northern Victoria.
Officers asked Turvey to drop his weapon, but he allegedly fired one shot into the air before fleeing the property in a car.
Neighbor Dianne said Turvey was shirtless and screaming as he confronted police.
“All the police were crouched down with their guns drawn,” she said 9News.
“They kept telling him, ‘Put your gun away and put your hands behind your head.’”
“And then he just went back and said, ‘I’m not going to f***ing go to prison again’.”
Two officers pursued Turvey but lost control of their vehicle on Creighton Road before it overturned.
The officers were taken to Goulburn Valley Health Hospital with minor injuries and have since been released.
Turvey then stopped at a random residence in Youanmite, where he allegedly forced a man at gunpoint to drive him to Finley in New South Wales.
The man was uninjured and was released when the couple arrived at their location.
Accordingly, Turvey regularly brags on social media about being part of an outlaw motorcycle gang the Herald Sun.
In a video shared on Facebook, Turvey can be seen holding a dog’s leash tied to a collar around a man’s neck.
He is seen holding a knife in his other hand as he shouts orders to the man on all fours and threatens to cut out his tongue.
When the man doesn’t follow Turvey’s orders, he can be seen pulling sharply on the leash.

In another video shared on Facebook, Turvey can be seen threatening a man and demanding that he meet him in Shepparton for a shootout.
“Any time you want to try it, come to Shepparton,” the post reads.
“Bring whoever you want and whatever little pistol you like, because if you don’t pull the trigger and kill me, I will simply beat you to death.”
Turvey claimed to be part of the Finks OMCG after sharing photos of dead bikie gang boss Brent Reker on his Facebook page in February.
“This is my big brother…Finks MC Australia is my club and my brother is my family,” Turvey wrote.
“I will give my life to support my brother and have a happy death.”
Police believe Turvey was driving what was believed to be a stolen vehicle White Toyota Hi-Lux Dual Cab Utility with registration 1RA-8AN.
This came after police responded to reports that a man armed with a gun had attacked a woman and stolen her car on Witt Street, Yarrawonga, just before 10am on Tuesday.
Police have urged anyone with information that could help find him to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
He will also be asked to surrender at any police station.
