English fullback, Kyle Walker will continue his career with Manchester City as he signs a two-year deal with the club.

Kyle Walker is set to sign a two-year contract extension with Manchester City after rumours of him potentially leaving the club.

Kyle Walker announced that he will be staying with Manchester City in dramatic fashion. The club made the announcement with a video posted on X where Walker took reference to the Hollywood movie, Wolf of Wall Street, replicating a scene from the movie to announce his renewal with the Cityzens.

He is set to sign a new deal for a two year contract extension with the Manchester City side managed by Pep Guardiola.

The English right-back has remained a vital cog in Pep Guardiola’s system and it is safe to say that the club could not have had their various achievements unless they had Walkers defensive reliability in the back.

Walker’s pace and defensive IQ makes him a solid right-back and has been a thorn for various opposing attackers. He has made 169 appearances for Manchester City. His trophy haul includes five Premier League titles, four league cups, two FA Cups, two Community Shields, one UEFA Super Cup and one Champions League.

The right-back was part of the iconic Manchester City side that etched their names in English football’s history when they became the second side to complete the infamous treble that eluded the City side for so long.

The side were a dominant force ever since Pep Guardiola took over as the manager and signed Walker from Tottenham Hotspurs who was then managed by current Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino.

Pep will be relieved to see Walker stay at the club after the side have lost many players from their treble-winning side including, Riyad Mahrez, Joao Cancelo on-loan, Cole Palmer, Aymeric Laporte and Ilkay Gundogan.

Walker has also been an important part to Gareth Southgate’s England side and will be eager to continue to improve on England’s campaigns and end their trophy drought as well.

Walker is now 33 years old but he still is a lethal force to be reckoned with as he still continues to have the pace to keep up against the paciest of defenders. He will continue to keep the momentum going and establish himself as one of the greatest full-backs in English history.

He is now an established leader in the current City side and will be eager to continue from where he left off. Walker will look to get back to work helping City defend their titles and continue to establish himself and his side amongst the best in history.
