Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited the grounds of an $18 million Malibu mansion, fueling speculation that the couple could leave Montecito and move closer to Hollywood with their family.
According to sources, the couple toured the property over Labor Day weekend TMZ.
It is currently offering little more than an $8 million lot, with a swimming pool already built and plans for a modern 10,000 square foot lot that would cost $10 million to construct.
Harry, 38, and Meghan, 42, have been living in their nine-bedroom, $14 million mansion in Montecito since 2020.
The 18,000-square-foot Mediterranean-style home features rose gardens, century-old olive trees, a tennis court, tea house, children’s house and pool, and a two-bedroom guest house.
Other locals include Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, Ariana Grande, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom.
But the home is 85 miles from Hollywood — about an hour and a half’s drive — and speculation has mounted in recent weeks that they may be moving soon.
The Malibu property is just 25 miles or a 45 minute drive from Hollywood.

And it’s only 15 miles from Calabasas, where the Kardashians live. Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, was photographed at a charity event with Kim Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner.
A guardhouse is already in place at the Malibu site protecting the long driveway leading to the primary residence.
The property, perched above Broad Beach and the Pacific Coast Highway, will feature a striking, state-of-the-art main house with large windows and breathtaking ocean views.
Brendan Brown of Westside Estate Agency has the property on sale and promoted it on Instagram last month.
“Incredible development opportunity for Malibu – RTI poised with plans by award-winning architect and formation underway,” he wrote.
“Situated directly above PCH and overlooking Broad Beach, this unrivaled property offering the greatest privacy is being offered for $8 million.”
He said the site is 5.26 acres and offers 360-degree ocean views.
“Fully gated for privacy and security,” he added.

The couple are keen to find a place that’s out of the way for their family, but close enough to Hollywood for more and more Hollywood getaways.
On Monday, Markle was in Los Angeles for Beyonce’s concert after being there with her husband on Friday.
The Duchess of Sussex returned to SoFi Stadium on Monday without Harry but was spotted alongside Tyler Perry, her son Archie’s godfather. She was also photographed with Kerry Washington and former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland.
Harry, meanwhile, was in LA on Sunday night to watch Lionel Messi’s side Inter Miami defeat Will Ferrell-owned LAFC.
Harry was pictured chatting animatedly with Ferrell but mostly avoided David Beckham – co-owner of Inter Miami – and his son Brooklyn.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly accused the Beckhams of leaking stories about them over the phone, which the Beckhams found deeply offensive.
And a rapprochement with Hollywood would help both on their rocky road to media stardom.

Meghan is planning a return to Instagram, she confirmed, and is said to be hoping to run a Goop-style lifestyle blog and revamp her former website, The Tig.
They were fired from Spotify in June, ending a $20 million deal, but are said to be continuing to work on content for Netflix.
Harry’s latest show, Heart of Invictus, was released on August 30, but the five-part series never made the Netflix top 10 chart in the US or UK.
Newsweek called the show a “flop.”
Harry is expected at the WellChild Awards in the UK on Thursday but is unlikely to see his father or brother.
He will then travel to Germany for the Invictus Games and his wife is expected to accompany him there.
