Upbeat Prince Harry gave Lionel Messi clear and concise advice after watching him play for Inter Miami on Sunday: telling him to “throw it in the net” after failing to score against LAFC.
The former king was amid a star-studded crowd in Los Angeles watching as the world’s best footballer helped his side to a 3-1 win – but there was some disappointment that the man himself wasn’t back in the scorer list was added.
Despite his two assists, it seemed that Harry wasn’t particularly impressed with the missing goal and was quick to respond to a fan’s question asking him to ‘messi a message’.
As he turns to face the camera flanked by his security guards, the Brit can be heard shouting: “A message for Messi?” Plug it in before you laugh and walk away.
The Duke of Sussex, 38, was without Meghan Markle on Sunday night as he traveled to LAFC Stadium, where he was seated in the $9,000 VIP suite for the game.

In the box, he sat alongside team board member Larry Berg, as well as actress and LAFC superfan Connie Britton, the 56-year-old star of Spin City, Friday Night Lights and most recently White Lotus.
The clip of Harry speaking to a fan in the middle of the stadium is understood to have come just seconds before he was invited into the dressing room to meet Messi – where he may even have passed his advice to the man himself.
Harry was joined at the game by Hollywood icons such as Leonardo DiCaprio and Will Ferrell, as well as sports legends such as basketball players Magic Johnson and LeBron James.

Messi fever has really gripped the United States and the legendary player impressed in his first few months in MLS.
He scored nine goals in seven League Cup appearances and helped Inter Miami to their first-ever trophy last month before scoring in his MLS debut against the New York Red Bulls just days later.
Messi has remained goalless in his last two games – much to the dismay of crowds in LA on Sunday night – but he has gone unbeaten in all 11 games since joining Miami.
Next up is Sporting Kansas City’s visit to Fort Lauderdale on Saturday night before Messi travels to Atlanta to play at the biggest stadium since arriving on American soil.
