This is the terrifying moment when a brute hits a 60-year-old woman 50 times with her own stick on the crime-ridden New York subway.
The shocking attack at 3 a.m. Friday showed the unidentified assailant bludgeoning his victim for two minutes at the West 116 Street and Lenox Avenue station in Harlem.
He initially tries to hit her with his umbrella while she tries to fend him off with the stick.
But she falls to the ground and screams as he takes the cane from her and begins the brutal beating.
It’s the latest viral video of an attack on the New York City subway system that has left many in the Big Apple fearing for their lives as they enter the subway system.

The suspect is seen hitting her on the head, stomach, legs, arms, hands and back with the stick and finally breaking the stick.
At no point were traffic workers or police around to notice or try to stop the brutal beating.
Eventually she manages to grab a piece of the stick that is still intact before the man starts hitting her on the head.
The visibly unwell man continues to punch and yell at his victim while his pants fall off.
In the clip, which lasted more than two minutes, this attacker can be seen first trying to hit the woman with his umbrella, while she tries to fend him off with the stick

Before the video stopped, the woman just lay motionless on the ground while the man continued to kick her.
According to police, officers arrived after receiving the call around 3:30 a.m.
Accordingly, the victim said she did not know her attacker New York Post. Police said the suspect fled the scene before they arrived.
She was eventually taken to a local hospital, where authorities said her condition was stable.

No one was arrested and investigations are ongoing.
Subway crime is considered one of the city’s biggest crises, and although statistics show traffic offenses have declined slightly, even Manhattan’s progressive District Attorney Alvin Bragg said last month he feared for his family if they travel by subway.
“I know the statistics that crime on public transport is going down, but when one of my family members gets on the train, I get a knot in my stomach, too,” he said FOX 5 news when asked about the perception that the subway system is becoming increasingly unsafe.
“I live here, I’m raising my family here, so we have a lot more work to do,” he added.
According to this, serious crime in the subway system fell by 9.9% in July City stats.
