An insider revealed deadly mushroom cook Erin Patterson cracked down on her local community in putting together the local newsletter.

Erin branded contributors to Korumburra’s The Burra Flyer newsletter “illiterate” when she verbally abused an old friend.

A person who claims to be a former boyfriend of the 46-year-old revealed the truth about the Leongatha housewife in an online true crime forum.

Erin and her then-husband Simon had been putting together the 48-page pamphlet of endorsements and promotions for the local Victorian community for years, after inheriting it from Simon’s parents – and it’s clear from the news that she didn’t value great opinion from some of the contributors.

In another message, Erin seemingly targeted Simon himself and attacked the engineer for not doing enough housework.

“My husband has no idea a cleaning lady is coming.” “Love it,” Erin reportedly posted when the couple were still together.

“Now I don’t resent the fact that he never helps me with anything because I don’t do the big chores either… now I just have to resent him for doing the dishes in the evening.”

Pastor Ian Wilkinson was the only one of four guests to survive the poisonous Beef Wellington that Erin served at her home in east Victoria on July 29.

Mr Wilkinson, his wife Heather and her sister Gail, and her husband Don Patterson were invited to lunch as part of a “mediation session” to discuss Erin’s relationship with her estranged husband Simon, who backed down at the last minute.

Erin has denied any wrongdoing and Daily Mail Australia does not suggest she intentionally poisoned her four relatives.

An anonymous person claiming to be a friend of Erin’s entered the forums last weekend in a thread that received more than 200 posts before being closed by administrators.

The poster claimed that Erin previously worked as an accountant and at the Department of Defense.

“She’s meticulous and very smart,” the person said. “Your whole family are extremely smart people.”

The former girlfriend posted several messages she saved from the true crime group before Erin deactivated her account in August.

The so-called “ex-boyfriend” claimed to have met Erin online through the true crime group.

She shared two photos of Erin following the birth of one of her children.

“I think she was also very interested in crime fiction. “Like Agatha Christie,” the person claimed.

Daily Mail Australia is not claiming that Ms Patterson had any sinister motives or was inspired by true crimes.

In fact, it’s one of the most popular podcast categories in Australia.

It has been claimed that Erin also has a passion for Lego.

“She was also an obsessive reader. She had tons of books. “She’s very smart and very well read,” members of the private group were told.

The person claimed they only ever engaged with Erin online and never got a planned dinner through.

“We had a very tight group. It was more intimate than usual because of our shared fascination with crime,” the person wrote.

“We thought we knew her well, but now we’re discovering that much of her life was very secretive … EP had no friends other than this close circle.”

“You have to imagine the most extreme introvert you’ve ever met.” That’s EP. Withdrawn. Online friends only.’

The former girlfriend claimed Erin told them her estranged husband once contracted a Clostridium difficile infection — a germ that usually spreads through the hands.

Simon himself spent 21 days in intensive care after collapsing at his home in May 2022 from the mysterious stomach illness.

During his hospital stay, Erin kept his concerned friends updated on his condition on social media.

The friend denied previous reports that Erin was desperate to get back together with her deeply religious husband, claiming she initiated the breakup.

“As far as I know, she’s an atheist… She was very unhappy in her marriage and felt like a single mother.” “At the time, I thought it was normal for my husband not to make an effort,” the friend explained.

“We didn’t hear much about Simon, except that he was never home.” I never helped her. She was very closed about it… She left him. She didn’t want to come back with him. ‘

The friend answered numerous questions from members, including her thoughts on Erin’s kitchen.

“She shared some cooking photos with us in the group. Pad Thai. Etc. To be honest (not mean), but it never looked particularly appetizing. “If I had to guess, I’d say she was a mediocre cook,” the person claimed.

Simon paid tribute to his parents in front of up to 450 mourners who gathered at the Korumburra Recreation Center on Thursday.

It was the first time he spoke about the shocking incident that claimed the lives of his loved ones.

He remembered his mother Gail’s last text message before she went into a coma from which she never woke up.

Simon described his parents as both pacifists, and their text message ringtone blared on his phone to the tune of Edwin Starr’s “War.”

“It was no coincidence that my mother’s last text message in our family group chat while she was in Dandenong Hospital was, ‘Lots of love to you all,’” he said.
