A hairstylist shared a simple trick to add volume to flat hair in just a few minutes.
Matt Newman from New York shared a video tick tock on how to achieve a “dry shampoo blow-out refresh” that can bring your flat hair back to life in minutes.
Matt says the first step is to grab a claw clip and use your teeth to push the hair out of the forehead and parting back.
He then says you need to push the hair “all the way up” while slowly pulling the barrette over his head.
“Dry shampoo right over the scalp,” he says while tapping the shampoo into the roots with his finger.

Next, Matt takes a hair dryer and blow-dryes the area on the cool setting of the hair dryer.
“Unclip and pull,” Matt says as he runs his hands through his hair and blows it out, mixing the dry shampoo into his scalp.
And he seemed quite impressed with the results as he was completely amazed at how voluminous his hair looked.
The barber ended the video by saying, “That’s big!”
He captioned the video: “Dry shampoo is soooo good for adding volume to hair that’s gone flat at the roots.”
“The claw clip helps aim the product at the specific part of our strands that we want to lift.”
Matt has been in the hair industry in New York for over 10 years and has even worked behind the scenes on editorial shoots and fashion shows.
The stylist, who has a thick mane of hair that reaches his shoulders, says he started growing his hair out when he was a teenager.
