A young father was denied bail over an alleged high-speed crash that killed a brother and sister.
Alina Kauffman, 24, and her brother Ernesto Salazer, 15, died when a supposedly stolen Mercedes turned the wrong side of the road and collided with their Toyota Echo in Heckenberg SydneySouthwest, Friday at 9:20 p.m.
Johnson Kokozian, 20, reportedly told police he was the passenger in the Mercedes registered to his father.
The Parramatta Bail Court heard Sunday that numerous witnesses claimed Kokozian was the driver.
After impacting the Toyota, the Mercedes slid into a stationary Toyota RAV4 and was then thrown on its side.

The RAV4’s two RAV4 occupants were unharmed.
Allegedly, Mr Kokozian and two other people got out of the wrecked Mercedes and got into another car to drive off after making no attempt to help the siblings, who were fatally injured in the Echo.
Judge Rob Rabbidge said he was satisfied Kokozian was the Mercedes driver in what he called an “appalling situation” as he refused bail. reported the Daily Telegraph.
The court heard that police had visited Kokozian’s father’s home after the accident to draw his attention to it.
The court heard the man allegedly claimed the car was stolen.
Kokozian, who has a son, was supported in court by his girlfriend and father.
Angelina Kauffman, the mother of Alina and Ernesto, said her two beautiful children “didn’t deserve to die.”
She said Alina had just picked Ernesto up from his new job at a Kmart just 200m from her family’s home
Alina called me and said: “Mom, I’ve picked up my brother, we’ll get something to eat and then we’ll come home,” Angelina told the Daily Telegraph.
“I said, ‘Are you okay?’ and they said, ‘Yes mom.’

When they failed to return home, Ms. Kauffman and one of her other children used an app to locate the wrecked car.
“The police came and told me my children had died.” “My beautiful children,” she said through tears.
Alina was a nurse and worked with the elderly, while Ernesto hoped the Kmart job would save money to buy his first car.
“He was the kindest, sweetest boy, he didn’t have a bad bone in his body.”
