A woman was reportedly stabbed multiple times in the neck in an alleged domestic violence attack and a man was charged with attempted murder.

The 38-year-old woman was found with serious injuries at a home in Frenchville in Rockhampton, Queensland, at 7pm on Sunday.

She was admitted to Rockhampton Hospital and remains in serious condition.

Police were called to Constantia Crescent’s home after reports that someone had been injured.

She was found seriously injured at a home that has been declared a crime scene and had “multiple stab wounds”.

A 52-year-old man has been charged with one count of attempted murder (domestic violence).

It is understood that both the injured woman and the alleged attacker lived in the same house.

The man is due to appear at Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Monday.
