A woman caught kissing a married man before being mowed down by his jealous wife in a BMW is suing the driver for $350,000.
Zowie Noring claims she has suffered serious physical and psychological injuries since being hit by Christie Lee Kennedy’s vehicle in Brisbane in March 2021.
Ms Noring was mowed down after she was spotted kissing Kennedy’s cheating husband David Larkin.
Kennedy, who pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and assault, was sentenced in April by Brisbane District Court to a suspended prison sentence of nine months.
Ms Noring, 33, has now filed a civil suit in the same court, alleging she sustained injuries to her right and left knees, tailbone and cervical spine and was a victim of post-traumatic stress disorder.

She says she is in constant pain as a result and is in need of a total knee replacement and coccyx surgery to remove her coccyx.
She also claims that she has been suffering from debilitating depression and anxiety as a result of the incident and that her future earning capacity has been reduced “due to Mrs Kennedy’s negligence”.
Along with her insurer, Alliance Australia, Ms Noring, who worked as a clerk at a car crash repair facility in Brisbane, is claiming $5,000 for past economic losses and $200,000 for future economic losses.
They are also seeking $5,000 for past special damages including medical expenses, $37,500 for future expenses, $15,452 for past care and $70,000 for future care.
Ms Noring’s lawyer, Sophie McKenzie of Maurice Blackburn Lawyers, said her client believed she was going to die during the “incredibly traumatic” incident.
“It was incredibly traumatic, she thought she might die,” Ms McKenzie said.
“The reality is that my client will suffer for the rest of her life, causing her serious financial damage and affecting her ability to care for her young daughter,” said Ms. McKenzie.

Kennedy has not yet responded to the lawsuit.
In March last year, Kennedy used Mr Larkin’s phone to track him down to the northern Brisbane suburb of Wavell Heights, where she saw him kissing Ms Noring by the side of the road.
Footage of the incident shared by Channel Nine shows Kennedy approaching the unsuspecting couple in her BMW SUV.

Kennedy then got out of her car, slapped Ms. Noring in the face, and called her a “fat bitch” and a “bitch,” before getting back in the car and driving off.
Ms. Noring said she believes Mr. Larkin has ended his relationship with Kennedy.
In awarding Kennedy the suspended sentence, the judge said it was fair to say Kennedy was shocked by what she saw, even though she had suspected her husband of cheating.
“You are obviously an excellent employee and a very good mother and it is really unfortunate that you have committed this offence, but I firmly believe that this is an atypical offense and is unlikely to be another offences ‘ Judge said Paul Smith.
Kennedy was ordered to pay $5,000 each in compensation to her ex-husband and wife Noring.
The court found that the couple had been physically and emotionally harmed by the event.
Kennedy was suspended from driving for nine months.
