Newly released photos show Princess Anne hard at work in London as she took part in a color parade by the volunteer First Aid Nursing Yeomanry.
Pictures taken on Wednesday show the Princess Royal in full military attire patrolling the parade – before meeting with some of those involved.
Anne, 72, has been the corps commander-in-chief since 1981. First Aid Nursing Yeomanry is an independent, all-women charity founded in 1901.
During the world wars it was active in both nursing and intelligence.

The Ministry of Defense said: “This transferred them from the auspices of the Royal Corps of Signals to the London Borough.”
“This reflects the focus of First Aid Nursing Yeomanry in the capital as one had to live or work in London for many years to be a FANY so one could be deployed quickly when needed.”
Last year was a record year for the Corps, providing 950 days of volunteer assistance.
This is “something the recruits of 2023 will be more than aware of as they celebrated with their swoon,” a celebration that took place under the watchful eye of Princess Anne.

The First Aid Nursing Yeomanry is on call around the clock and on duty Multi-layered Rapid Response Teams to support civil and military authorities in times of crisis.
During World War II, about 6,000 people served with the Special Operations Executive and Auxiliary Territorial Service as agents, drivers, programmers, signalers, and support personnel.

The new pictures come after the Princess Royal attended a memorial ceremony for veterans of national service on Thursday.
Anne had visited the National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas, Staffordshire, to commemorate former soldiers.
Introduced as a form of peacetime conscription for British men after the Second World War, the National Service was demobilized in 1960, with the last soldiers discharged in 1963.
