Arin Hankerd, a former Florida physical education teacher, was arrested for a second time on charges of having sex with an underage student. The initial arrest of Arin Hankerd,43, prompted more girls to come forward accusing him of inappropriate behavior.
He has now been charged with luring a 17-year-old to his home in Ormond Beach, where he is said to have groped and had the girl perform oral sex on him.
The former educator is said to have sent the teenager flirtatious Facebook messages — such as asking what color underwear she was wearing — and requesting explicit photographs, according to charging documents
obtained by the Daytona Beach News-Journal. The girl was a student at Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, where Hankerd taught physical education before moving to Atlantic High School in 2021.
