Earlier than taking up their official duties on Friday, Could 26, 2023, all state political appointees have been instructed by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to disclose their belongings.

He continued by saying that the end-of-tenure belongings declaration is in accordance with Nigeria’s structure’s Fifth Schedule, Paragraph 11 (1b), Half One.

The impacted personnel, in accordance to the governor, embody Particular Advisers (cupboard and non-cabinet), Commissioners, and all assistants (Private Assistants, Technical Assistants, and Private Aides), amongst others. The governor gave the order in a round issued by the Head of Service, Muri Okunola.

Whereas expressing his appreciation to the outgoing appointees for his or her service to the federal government and folks of the state, Sanwo-Olu wished them properly of their future endeavours.

The governor could be sworn in on Monday, Could 29 2023, for his second time period in office after profitable the March 18 governorship election within the state.
