It may be over a year since NBA star Ben Simmons was traded from Philadelphia, but there’s no sign of forgiveness or forgetting of the Aussie star, who has been trolling his former team for a second straight season.
The former No. 1 draft pick was kicked out by the 76ers because they didn’t think he could lead them to a championship and wanted more firepower to back Joel Embiid.
So Simmons was traded to the Brooklyn Nets and the 76ers brought in former Brooklyn star James Harden to assemble a roster they believed could at least make the NBA Finals.
However, the Boston Celtics beat Philadelphia in the deciding game of the Eastern Conference Semifinals series at TD Garden on Sunday, with forward Jayson Tatum giving the hapless Sixers a record 51 points in the seventh game.
And didn’t Simmons love it?
Simmons’ post on Instagram caused disagreement. Some thought it was brutal trolling, some thought it was petty — and still others couldn’t get over the odd TV placement
Last year, Simmons also trolled his former teammates when they were eliminated from the playoffs
He posted a picture of a TV showing the blowout while a nice glass of red wine sat on the coffee table.
Fans outraged the injured Aussie star’s post, calling him ‘cold’, ‘wild’ and ‘petty’.
Many felt it was revenge for the way the 76ers treated their former star in the messy divorce.
“Ben Simmons, greatest troll of all time.” Remember when Philadelphia blamed him? “LMAO,” one fan posted, with a bunch of laughing emoji for good measure.
“We should have kept Ben Simmons and traded Embiid,” added another.
Oddly enough, some people dodged the trolling entirely, complaining about the off-center placement of Simmons’ TV.
“I’m disturbed by the placement of Ben Simmons TV on this wall,” wrote one fan.
“This living room decor and off-center TV is just as disturbing as any Ben Simmons sweater,” added another.

It’s also the second year in a row that Simmons has trolled his former teammates.
A fan shared a picture from last year of Simmons smugly in front of the TV as the Sixers were eliminated from the playoffs.
“Never forget when Ben Simmons saw this [Miami] “Heat eliminated the Sixers last year,” they wrote.
The repeated trolling doesn’t sit well with some NBA fans.
“Ben Simmons is just one bad season away from retirement.” “Not sure who he thinks he is,” one fan wrote.
“Ben Simmons Instagram Story just made me want to punch a hole in my wall I can’t take this,” posted another quite upset fan.
“And how did Ben Simmons last laugh for posting that he saw the game on Instagram?” What are you all talking about? lol He’s a bum who stole a lot of money from two organizations. “He’s a total idiot,” ranted another from behind the comfort of an anonymous profile.
Another Australian was also quite happy with the result.
Tennis star Nick Kyrgios is also a Boston fan and shared a post showing that Tatum became the first NBA player in history to score 51 points in a playoff game without losing possession.
“MVP,” Kyrgios posted.
