Troops of the Multinational Joint Activity Power (MNJTF) working in the Lake Chad Basin Area have killed some suspected Boko Haram terrorists and recovered heavy weapons.
The MNJTF spokesman, Lt. Col. Kamarudeen Adegoke, confirmed the event in an announcement on Sunday.
He stated the troops raided the terrorists’ hideouts in a renewed actions code named: “Operation Harbin Kunama” (Scorpion sting) on Thursday.
The spokesman stated: “The continued operation by troops of the MNJTF has additional diminished the capability of Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists to hold out their actions in the Lake Chad Basin area.
“The offensive posture and doggedness of troops of the MNJTF has continued to yield exceptional outcomes.
“Following an assault by BH/ISWAP terrorists on troops’ place in the final space of Arege, which was successfully repelled, an exploitation was performed by troops of the Power on Could 11 in the final space.
