This is the moment a violent thug launched an unprovoked attack on a young woman and man near Glasgow train station.
Shocking footage shows the man viciously beating the couple as they stood outside the offices of a charity on Argyle Street, near Glasgow Central Station.
The incident, which took place around 11pm on Friday night, is said to have left the couple with a “sore head” and “sore face” with police now believed to be involved.
CCTV footage shows a man, seen with a bottle, stumbling past the couple before turning to face the young woman.
He continues to aggressively follow her as she tries to get away before pushing him away and her male friend attempting to intervene.

The thug then launches a vicious attack, hitting the young man in the head and delivering a second blow as his victim staggers back.
He then turns and smacks the woman on the head, causing her to drop her phone on the floor before walking out of frame.
The man and woman were helped by volunteers from local charity Homeless Project Scotland, who provided them with first aid.
Footage of the attack, shared on social media, has been viewed more than 2 million times on Twitter, with a man claiming to be the woman’s uncle, saying: “This d**k attacked my niece and her pal for no reason. “

He added that his niece had a “sore head” and her friend a “sore face” before adding that police “will visit them on Wednesday, luckily Homeless Project Scotland have been fantastic with them”.
A spokesman for Homeless Project Scotland told GlasgowLive: “Last week food had fallen on the ground, this week it’s members of the public minding their own business and being attacked.
“The Homeless Project Scotland volunteers provided first aid and support to people who were being attacked and were advised to best report it to the police.
“We really need a building to bring people into a warm, safe space. We hope that people will choose to donate instead of showing hate.”
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “At around 1.45pm on Saturday 4 March 2023, police received a report of the attack of a woman and man on Argyle Street, under the Central Station Bridge on Friday 3 March 2023, around 11:10 p.m. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.’
