Canadian rapper Drake decided to tempt fate again by placing a massive bet on the Kansas City Chiefs winning Sunday’s AFC Championship game.
For the second year in a row, the Chiefs host the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC title game for a seat at Super Bowl LVII in Los Angeles this Sunday night.
Drake’s endorsement has become a notorious omen for some sports teams, with many believing in the existence of a “Drake curse” on teams he hopes to win.

In his Instagram story, he revealed he lost $1.1 million for the Chiefs to beat the Bengals
As if the Kansas City Chiefs needed any more bad luck, they take on the Bengals while star quarterback Patrick Mahomes struggles with an ankle injury.
Mahomes suffered a severe sprain to his right ankle in the divisional round win against the Jacksonville Jaguars last week.
Though he says he’ll be ready to play Sunday, that chance could hurt Kansas City’s chances of reaching its third Super Bowl in four seasons due to a lack of mobility.
They also play the Bengals and quarterback Joe Burrow, who has never lost to the Chiefs in his NFL career. That includes a 27-24 win by Cincinnati over KC earlier this season.

Drake has had some grief over the past few months when it comes to dropping high-stakes bets.
The rapper recently lost a $1 million bet that Argentina would win the 2022 FIFA World Cup final in regular time — which didn’t happen. He was able to win $2.75 million.
In November, Drake threw down $2 million worth of Canadian dollars for Israel Adesanya to win UFC 281 against Alex Pereira. Unfortunately for the rapper, Pereira won by knockout in the fifth round.
In October, Drake immersed himself in the worlds of both Spanish and English football, staking over CA$833,000 in tackles for Barcelona against Real Madrid and for Arsenal against Leeds United.
The Gunners were able to deal with the Whites. However, Xavi’s side fell to Los Blancos – and Drake lost with a return of CA$3.9m.
