Brandon Truter has done more than he was mandated when he joined Sekhukhune United and not only moved the team off the bottom of the DStv Premiership standings.

He has moved Sekhukhune to fourth place after beating hapless Swallows FC 1-0 at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Friday night.
Truter’s side have now accumulated 24 points after 17 games. He has won four and drawn one since taking over from Kaitano Tembo.
The points collected have seen the team jump from bottom of the standings to the top in a space of a month.
With this done, Truter still remains humble and said it was everyone’s hard work that was coming to fruition.
“All the hard work and whatever is happening here at the club now we have to say thank you to God and give him all the glory.
“I am super proud of the boys,” said Truter, who was introduced to the top flight by Swallows two seasons ago.
Truter however felt they could have scored more than the one goal which was a spectacular effort by left wingback Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya late in the second half.
“We played well from the first half, the only thing that was missing was the goal for us,” said Truter after the match.
“But we did create chances that we could have tucked away and we didn’t. And coming in at half time it was equal at 0-0 was not a true reflection of the game.
“But we knew what they were going to do. They minimised the space that we wanted to play in – well done to them for that.
“We got a bit anxious and started to kick the ball a bit longer than usual and it came back to us and we played right into their hands.
“But in the second half we anticipated that they might change their formation while we also wanted to continue on the front foot,” added Truter.
“We managed to get into the half-spaces in front of their defence and gave them problems.
“And we pushed the push backs higher and Ntiya-ntiya received a second ball and what a goal.”
Truter still feels they need to improve and not allow teams back in the game once they take the lead – this almost happened with Swallows.
“But after that – and this is where we need to improve. When we took the lead we started doing things that are unlike us.
“We started giving posesion away cheaply and the opponent got back into the game…
“But it is another clean sheet for the defence and they also scored the goals tonight so well done to them,” said Truter who was fired at AmaZulu earlier this season.
