Some took to social media to comment on the report.

One user stated, “It doesn’t surprise anyone. Pakistan military leaders are corrupt bastards who rob and plunder the country just like politicians. But tragically, some countries loan or donate money to Pakistan.

Another user stated, “Alleged Corruption of Army Generals ! A High Level Military Trial court must be set up to investigate and prosecute all the Retired and Serving Generals, Lieut & Maj Gens. This is the only way to salvage Honour of Pakistan Army (sic).”

A third user stated, “Had they hidden their assets / wealth and same would have been found out by some investigative journalist.. I would have agreed to the allegation… but if someone is declaring his/her assets as part of the tax returns… do u still believe it to be a crime???”
