Congress leader appeals to Muslims
A video of a Congress leader has gone viral recently where he is stating that only Muslims can save the party.
Addressing a gathering in poll-bound Gujarat, Congress candidate from Sidhpur candidate Chandanji Thakor in the viral clip is heard saying, “We gave the votes (to BJP) to do something new but they pushed the entire country to depth, and if anyone can save the country then it is the Muslim community, and if anyone can save the congress, only Muslims can do that.”
Thakor gave the controversial remarks at a rally on November 19.
BJP accuses Congress of doing ‘appeasement’ politics
Criticising the Congress, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla described INC as “I need communalism” and accused the party of doing ‘Muslim appeasement’ politics.
