After the match, Surya interacted with Yuzvendra Chahal, who made a splendid comeback with figures of 2/26.
During the interaction, a fan had caught Surya’s eye and the batter called the fan onto the ground from the stands and talked to him.
“Bhai aaye hain itne door se apne support mein, poora proper colour-volour karke. Main aaj tak kabhi ye kiya nahi hai, aise fans ko kabhi bulaya nahi hai, aa jao (This guy has come from afar to support us, with all colours and stuff. I haven’t done anything like this ever – calling up fans from the stands but come),” he said.

The fan had asked the secret behind his range of 360 degrees as he is called Mr. 360. However, Surya was quick to respond saying, “Dekhiye bhaiya, Mr. 360 toh ek hi hai poore world mein. Jinke saath yeh [Chahal] khele huye hain. Main unke saath kabhi khela nahi but meri baat hui hai unse. Voh ek hi hain, aapko pata hai kaun. Main khaali try karta hun jaisa main khel sakta hun, vaisa khelun (See brother, there’s only one Mr. 360 in this world and that’s AB de Villiers. Chahal has played alongside him. I haven’t been able to be with him in a team, but I have talked to him a few times. He is the only one, there’s no one like him. I just try to play my game and how I am). I want to be the first Suryakumar Yadav.”
The two teams will take on each other in the final T20I of the series in Napier on Tuesday, November 22.
