American rapper Ye(Kanye West) has made his return to Twitter after a two-week break from the social network. Elon Musk has personally welcomed him back on the platform.
The popular rapper formerly known as Kanye West first tested that he was still unblocked. His account had been temporarily suspended and restored at the end of October, which Musk said was not his decision.
For the unversed, Ye’s earlier suspension had been due to an antisemitic tweet. Additionally, the hip-hop artist last month agreed to purchase the social media platform Parler.
Musk responded positively to Ye’s initial tweet, tweeting “Don’t kill what ye hate, Save what ye love.”In other news, Musk recently reinstated Donald Trump’s account. Earlier this week, the billionaire ran a poll in which users backed the move. “The people have spoken,” tweeted Musk, saying that 51.8% of more than 15 million Twitter users voted for the ban to be lifted. However, it is not likely that Donald Trump makes a return to the platform based on a statement he made earlier about rejoining the social media platform, “I don’t see any reason for it”. His account was suspended in 2021 due to the risk of incitement of further violence after his tweet led to his supporters storming the US Capitol in Washington DC on 6 January.
