The six members of Australian rock band Ocean Alley have bought a country house near Byron Bay on the north NSW coast.

The Happy Sad hitmakers bought the seven-bedroom, five-bathroom ranch-style Middle Pocket for $2.35 million, reports The Daily Telegraph.

The eight-acre tropical retreat is located in the Northern Rivers region, approximately 14 miles inland from the town of Byron Bay.

Hailing from Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Ocean Alley consists of Baden Donegal (vocals, guitar), Angus Goodwin (lead guitar), Lach Galbraith (keyboards, vocals), Mitch Galbraith (guitar), Nic Blom (bass) and Tom O’Brien (Drums).

The band released their latest single “Home” on September 14th, just before the release of their new album “Low Altitude Living” on October 14th.

The facility consists of three main buildings including a separate studio area.

Built with high ceilings, the main timber farmhouse is full of rustic charm and features a large stone fireplace and spacious lounge area.

Other features of the property include a creek and waterhole.

The Byron Bay area has become increasingly popular with artists, filmmakers, musicians and actors over the past decade.

The Hemsworth brothers bought large lots around the city.

Chris, Liam and Luke’s combined investments in the area are estimated at more than $100 million across 124 acres – and their portfolio continues to grow.

Musician Tones and I, real name Toni Watson, spent $3.3 million on two properties on the outskirts of Byron Bay in 2020.

Singer and actress Natalie Bassingthwaighte and her husband Cameron McGlinchey paid $2.15 million for a property in the area.

Ocean Alley has undergone an impressive development since its inception in 2011.

The band had four songs on Triple J’s coveted Hottest 100 countdown, taking first place with their single Confidence.
