Respawn Entertainment has subtly changed patch notes for the upcoming Apex Legends event. Beast of Prey Collectible Event. Redditor PikAtChuHuN was the one to point this out, showing that spawn rates for laser sights and barrels are reduced, but optical sights are increased.
This should reassure many different players who are complaining about the lack of scopes.
If Respawn wants to have a better weapon balance across the board, they also need to focus on the reasonable number of attachments spawning. Someone will only detain a sniper if they can find some attachments or, more importantly, a scope.
Players looking forward to the new collection event also have a chance to earn Loba’s Heirloom. As with any heirloom, the chances are extremely slim, but players who unlock all 24 items in the Beast of Prey collection will unlock the heirloom. However, it will cost players around $160.
The predator-like visuals should suit most playstyles and give fans something to look forward to, but it’s always gameplay that counts. If the game struggles, it doesn’t matter what cosmetics or events Respawn throws at fans. As small as this change may seem, it should make looting much more enjoyable.
