Casey Davidson, the younger sister of Pete Davidson, posted a heartfelt homage to her late father Scott, a firefighter who died in the September 11 attacks, on her Instagram. The terrorist incident occurred 21 years ago. Scott Davidson worked as a firefighter in Brooklyn Heights, New York, according to reports. When the second plane struck the Twin Towers at the World Trade Center, he was killed at the age of 33 while responding to an incredibly horrific emergency. When the attack occurred, Casey, who was just three years old, posted a black-and-white photo of her father on Instagram.

Sharing the photograph, Casey also added a caption in which she wrote she wish he could be here this year more than ever. We miss you, celebrate you, and remember you every day, added Casey further in the post. Six firefighters, including Scott Davidson, were last seen rushing to the Marriott World Trade Center Hotel’s staircase in an effort to save people. According to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, Scott’s “acts of heroism are not surprising,” as his “lifelong desire was to be a firefighter,” and he reportedly coached Pete Davidson in baseball and football while his daughter “was definitely a ‘Daddy’s Girl.’”

The College of Staten Island is where Scott Matthew Davidson obtained his bachelor’s degree in history. Additionally, he spent four years as a member of their basketball team, serving as captain during his senior year. Scott played baseball for the Great Kills Little League and was an all-star. Pete Davidson, the SNL comedian also paid tribute to his father in the 2020 movie The King of Staten Island.
