The film commenced its box office journey with low box office figures and continued with its low pace throughout the week getting stiff competition from alongside release Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. On one side Kartik Aaryan’s starer become one of the biggest hits of the year whereas on another side the 8th day of Dhakkar declared it one of the biggest flops of the year and of Bollywood as well. Dhaakad is stumbling at the ticket window and it seems difficult that the film will continue its run in a further week.
According to the latest reports claimed by some renowned trade, analysts issued that the film that was made under a production budget of 90 to 100 crores raked only 3 crores with its first week. The makers of the movie even struggled for the digital release of the film to cover the loss. The producer of the film failed to crack a deal before the release of the movie. As we mentioned many times that the film is losing balance as many theatres discontinued the run of the film. It arrived in the theatres with 2100 screens and a major decline in the screens has been noticed throughout the week.
Currently, the film is performing only on 300 screens and it might get reduced as per the situation of the film. The film has been removed from around 98% of theatres due to the immense low response from the audience. Dhaakad emerged as the disaster of the year.
